Barcelona’s labyrinthian Old Town keeps one of Europe’s most important collections of medieval Gothic Architecture, including the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia and Santa Maria del Mar, in addition to housing the city’s oldest remains, such as the Roman walls or the temple of Augustus. This walking tour is designed for those of you willing to explore the city’s Jewish heritage with more detail during the walking tour of the Old Town. The tour doesn’t revolve exclusively around Jewish history, so you will still learn about the different sections in which the Old Town is divided (Gothic Quarter, Raval, and Born), and see all the old town’s main highlights, but it expands on the history of those buildings, streets, and places that were once part of the Major and the Minor Call (Jewish Quarter), and explores the neighborhood from a Jewish perspective.
